Statement

My interest lies in the exploration of painting, its limitations, boundaries, and the underlying structure of the medium. This leads me to focus on developing visual and spatial contradictions that try not to be too deliberate in their origin. The fusing of abstraction with stripes, marks, and the accumulation of patterns allows me the freedom to redefine my pictorial space.

The one thing that I’ve always strived for in my work is to create a feeling of sophistication and authenticity. I prefer things that show a definite exploration through process, and as all artists do, channeling my various influences into a physical space where everything is able to co-exist.
